Statement on Piracy and Illegal Acts

When dumping video game software, users are subject to country-specific software distribution laws. RPCS3 is not designed to enable illegal activity. We do not promote piracy nor do we allow it under any circumstances. Any users conversing about piracy upon joining the Discord server, forums or GitHub community will receive administrative action. Please take the time to review copyright and video game software dumping laws and/or policies for your country before proceeding.

Development and Experimentation

The goal of this project is to experiment, research, and educate on the topic of PlayStation 3 emulation that can be performed on compatible devices and operating systems. All information was obtained legally by purchasing PlayStation 3 hardware and software. Additional information was obtained from various sources on the internet that include but is not limited to system hardware and software documentation. Most of this information can be found on the PlayStation 3 Developer Wiki.
